Animal Portraits

Leah also has a long-standing love of photographing animals. From wildlife through domesticated livestock and pets, she’s never turned down a chance to capture the best of our animal brethren.

Leah is agriculture-friendly, bio-security aware, and respectful of your needs for these — your protocols will be followed exactly as you specify, and your images will not be used or shown to any other parties without your written permission for specific individual images. 

Bookings are confirmed when we receive your 50% deposit for the shoot.   Ballpark costs for livestock and working staff shoots are as follows:

 
    • Up to 5 individual animals up to 24 inches tall:  
    • At OUR location:
    • 3 hours setup & shooting time inclusive @$75.00 = $225.00
    • 3 hours post-processing for delivery @ $45 = $135.00
    • Estimated total cost would be approximately $360.00
          •      At YOUR location:
          • 3.75 hours setup & shooting (photographer only) @$75 = $281.25 ;
          • 3 hours post-processing for delivery @ $45 = $135.00;
          • One photo assistant – not necessarily breed or species trained, as provision of an appropriate handler for livestock is the responsibility of the owner – MAY also be added to this pricing if needed at an additional cost of $15/hr. This requirement can be waived if you have qualified breed/species specific handlers of your own to use for the shoot.
          • Travel time and mileage @ $0.49/km apply. Note that larger numbers of livestock photo activities may need to be done in several sessions – see below for approximate  quotation, but please contact us for a detailed quotation before booking your shoot. 
  • More than 5 animals any size:  
  •      At YOUR location:
  • 5 hours setup & shooting (photographer only) @$75 = $375 ;
  • 5 hours post-processing for image delivery (more animals means more choices for photographer and owner to make for best results for each one) @ $45 = $225.00;
  • One photo assistant – not necessarily breed or species trained, as provision of an appropriate handler for livestock is the responsibility of the owner – MAY also be added to this pricing if needed at an additional cost of $15/hr. This requirement can be waived if you have enough breed/species specific and qualified handlers of your own to use for the shoot.
  • Travel time and mileage @ $0.49/km apply. 

GST/HST is applied to all rates; PST will be applied to the production of printed images per the legislation of the province of buyer/location of shoot.
